“Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) are set up in various ways across the country here in Arkansas, SHARE is uniquely set up under the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). The pandemic has highlighted the importance of integration between public health and HIEs, SHARE is currently supplying ADH with real-time clinical data to assist with disease outbreaks and management. In return, SHARE is supplying providers and care teams with pertinent COVID information such as vaccination reports and positivity reports. Although the meaningful use program has come to an end, there are still opportunities for funding to support data sharing….”
