The State Health Alliance for Records Exchange (SHARE) announce that general surgeon, Dr. Jay Jeffrey MD’s is now using SHARE, one of the country’s largest and most robust health information exchanges (HIE). Dr. Jay Jeffrey MD and his care team now access clinical information across participating entities for patients who have authorized sharing their medical information. This allows them to have accurate patient results from local hospitals that are on different electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
In Arkansas, where many large and small health systems use disparate EMR systems, this is a particularly important milestone because the single interface to SHARE enables surgeon Dr. Jay Jeffrey MD to access laboratory results, radiology reports, progress notes, discharge summaries from outside hospitals using his Sevocity EMR System. Dr. Jay Jeffrey MD and his care team can now view the following patient data through SHARE Interface:

The care coordinators the UAMS Family Medical Centers across Arkansas are also accessing SHAREs’ Virtual Health Record as well, that aggregates patients record outside of their Centricity EMR System enabling more accurate diagnoses, faster and more effective treatment, historical history of a patients’ health that assist in better outcomes for the patient.

WEBIZ was built to house complete, accurate, secure, real-time immunization records for the state, providers can access these records when treating their patients to have a comprehensive understanding of their health needs through SHARE.
By implementing this direct connection, SHARE and TLC Pediatrics are eliminating the need for manual and duplicate entry, saving their pediatricians, nurses and care team time by automating a previously tedious task.
